Aww… poor Zimmer!
Oh and congrats on your guest strip showing up in Girls With Slingshots!
Thanks Alan!
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t uber excited!
One of a horde of people I’m sure will be arriving from GWS. I am already enjoying this comic immensely! I don’t knit constantly (particularly as I buy yarn on a project-by-project basis), but on my knitting days, I knit everywhere. Basically, this is awesome.
Aww! Thank you! I’m glad to hear you like it!
Very effective guest strip. I came here via GwS, blazed through the archive this evening, and though I don’t knit, I’m sufficiently hooked.
Awesome!
Bad pun. BAAAAD.
I came here from GWS! :3 Your comic is adorable!! >w<
Aww! Thank you!
Found you via GwS guest strip! I <3 your comic!
Omg, I’m in love with your comic! I just found it thanks to your guest post on Girls With Slingshots. Awesomesauce!
Hi, I came here from GWS thanks to your guest strip (almost looked like the “real deal”).
I like the comic so far, especially the dynamics and the art. Although I have to admit that I never have knitted (or crocheted).
Awesome! Well thank you for coming to the site!
And Worsted For Wear will eventually have a “how-to” section if you ever want to take up a new hobby.
I was wondering what your style was doing in my GWSS this morning.
As Fayii predicted… another of the masses has come over from GWS. So glad for the link, this comic is made of awesome (as my niece likes to say) and makes me want to take up knitting.
I have, in the past, been known to crochet on rare occasions. It was easier than knitting at the time. All hail true knitters, that’s complex stuff you do. My niece is a knitting fiend when her babies allow her time. I’ll send her the link, I think she’ll love this strip too.
Brava! Great work!
Another one from the GWS masses. I have to say your comics are awesome. I never thought I was dexterous enough for knitting, but this comic makes me want to give it a go.
I also passed it on to my knitting fanatic cousin and she loves it!
Likewise, followed the GWS link, and love your comic! Already read through your archive. I will admit to being a cross-stitcher first (what brought me to GWS) and a knitter second, but they’re close.
I’m not addicted to knitting, I could quit any time..! I just don’t want to. So nyah.
I too found you via GWS. But you have a bunny. and knitting. and humour. You’re stuck with me now.
I came via GWS and will definitely be sharing your comic with my knitting group. I’d say I’m hooked but I’m not good at crochet.
I came here via GWSS. I love crocheting (but I’m beginning to slowly pick up knitting) and this comic his wonderful! I am totally hooked!
Hello! I came over from GWS, and as a knitter myself I’m really loving this comic! Looking forward to more in the future!
Also here via GWS, and am happy to have another knitting comic to share with my knitting friend, she who refers to me as a “hooker” because I crochet instead. I have learned several times to knit, and each time, I end up overdoing it and my hands hurt for days. Crochet also goes much faster, at least for me, so it’s what I do when I’m “doing”…along with learning to tat, and embroidery and many many other artsy/crafty things!
The other knitting comic I’ve found so far is The Knit Princess (www.knitprincess.com) and it’ll be interesting to see where both go from here!
Hi there, another person coming over from GWS. I read two or three comics and immediately forwarded a link to 2 friends of my daughter who huge knitting fans (one of them owns a specialist yarn shop here in Nottingham in the UK). I’ve been busy the rest of the day but I have just read through the entire archive and I loved it. You don’t have to knit or crochet to love great observational humour and story-telling.
Great job. Much love, Simon
Another via GWS! Great work guys your on my daily comics list now!
Saw the gueststrip on GWS, and as a knitter, couldn’t help but love this, read through them all immediately and putting you on my list of comics!
Another here from GWS. I read through your archive, and I think your comic is great! I particularly liked when Ellie’s husband(?) was knitting in secret. And poor Zimmer, trapped in a hat.
Crocheter and GWS reader. Love the comic!
Found this comic from GWS. I love knitting, and I love webcomics… together, maybe the best combination? Yes. Most definitely. Thank you for creating this!
Hi there! I also ventured here from GWS. Congrats on all the exposure you guys have been getting! How exciting it must be! This comic is adorably fantastic! I’m a beginner (knitting). I can really only knit squares and long, thin scarves haha. I still love it though, and I find the art fascinating. I can’t wait for the How To section you mentioned in one of your comments. Awesome job!
Another GWS transplant here. Though I am a nasty crocheter, I guess I’ll stick around. if I don’t get run off.
Heh, from GWS as well, and your main character is a lot like myself! I haven’t knitted a sweater or anything else yet, but I take it with me everywhere and I’m always learning new stitches!
Learned how to do Bamboo recently and it wakes me want to throw my needles down in disgust sometimes.
It’s been a long time since I’ve knit anything… Been thinking about getting back into it. Your comic has inspired me to make it so. Also: GWS made me do it. Love your comic.
Headed over from GWS. Just caught up and I love your strip. I knit and crochet – not sure what that makes me!
Found your comic because of GWS, and went through your entire archive in just under an hour… Can’t wait to see what happens next!! I don’t have the coordination to be a knitter, though I have tried!
Like the rest I came here because of GWS. Going through the archive made me feel guilty and I picked up my knitting during the second half. Wonderful comic (although I have fallen to the dark side at times).
