I see a dragonfly.
Also pretty popular in the 90′s.
Sadly, this makes me think of a project I’m currently working on. It’s only one color, not many, but an acquaintance of mine took a look at it and said it was “very Seventies.” Well…it IS from a pattern from the 1970s, and I admit I’m using pink acrylic yarn (fingering weight, NOT worsted weight!), but it seemed a lot more “classic” to me when I chose to do it. I literally didn’t know how to respond, since a lot of what came out of the 1970s — in crochet, especially — is considered kind of awful. I don’t think what I’m making (a tank top with a little lacy openwork) looks awful, though. *sigh*
Congrats on the Girls with Slingshots guest strip! I went over there after checking this site for the update and I was pleasantly surprised to see your strip! Keep up the awesome work!
LOVE the GWS guest strip! Checked it today and thought ‘I know that style…’ Awesome. Also, I know the startitis problem *sigh* xx
I did the same thing! I forgot guest strips were starting over there so I went, “Since when does Daniel bring knitting into her comics? And why does this look like a Worsted for Wear comic?” I love the guest strip.
I also KIND OF like that sweater pattern… Though I think it’d make a better hat or pair of mittens.
Amazing! I think Starmore designs are a bit rough on the eyes, too, though obviously a lot of work. Loved the GWS strip – my boyfriend who knits ought to love it even better.
This reminds me of the Sweater Quest book, a lovely idea. But I don’t think I could ever complete it.
Congrats on the GWS guest strip!
I think I see a schooner
Ha! I’m glad someone picked up on that little reference! Good job!
Glad I’m not the only one who noticed the GWS strip. Nice! Also I think the “eye-sore” sweaters are back in if hipsters and Target are any indication.
Love the new site, but I must admit I miss the cutesy-captcha.
P.S. It gave me “unreadable CAPTCHA token” five times before letting me post.
I’m so sorry about that! The sweet captcha may, in fact, return, as it actually WORKED, which is a lot more than I can say for the new ones I’ve tried. But we’ll try to get all the kinks worked out.
Love the GWS strip!
